The Process of Promises

Go to iTunes, search in podcasts for "Bethel Church", free sermon podcasts every week. POWERFUL.

Here is an excerpt from Kris Vallotton, The Process of Promises, 9/13/10:

Everyone has a desire for a deep sense of significance: “I was born to be amazing, I was created for greatness, I was born to disciple nations…” The negative side of that message is that sometimes God takes along time to act suddenly. Between the time that God gives us a promise and the time that we actually see the fulfillment of that promise, there are times of process. BUT we need this process to stay in the promise. There is an enemy in every land that there is a promise. They are strategically placed. They are not meant to beat you but to treat you to build up your character and increase your faith so you can rule in the promise land. Jesus was led into the wilderness by the Holy Spirit to be tempted by the devil. The Holy Spirit knew that in order that Jesus needed public ministry He must first have private victory. Everyone needs a wilderness experience. In order to have a public ministry you must first have private victory. IN YOUR WEAKNESS HE IS STRONG.

Your Private victory gives you a public platform. Jesus learned obedience through suffering. The more times you get the same word, prophetic declaration, there is a reason you keep getting the same word over and over. Sometimes the circumstances go the opposite direction-because God wants to take you ALL the way down to the depths. God's kingdom is not always instant. There is a process to greatness.
